  Control mode 1: VAV controller + Fast actuator + Face velocity sensor + Sash sensor  + Passive infrared occupancy sensor  
  1. Products used:Face velocity sensor, Sash sensor, Passive infrared occupancy sensor, Operation panel, VAV controller, Fast actuator, VAV valve
2. Working Process:
The VAV controller continuously measures the exhaust-air volume of the fume cupboard. The controller calculates the exhaust-air volume according to the sash opening and face velocity.By comparing the set exhaust-air volume and the measured exhaust-air volume, the opening of the actuator can be adjusted quickly.The face velocity sensor detects the face velocity of the fume cupboard in real time, compares it with the set value, and corrects the exhaust air.When the pressure of the exhaust duct or the sash’s height changes, the system will respond within 1 second and adjust the opening of the VAV box to maintain a stable average face velocity.
 

 

 

 

 

  Control mode 2: VAV controller + Fast actuator + Sash sensor + Passive infrared occupancy sensor

2. Working Process:
The VAV controller continuously monitors the real-time air volume of the fume cupboard and adjusts the sash height.The controller calculates the current set exhaust air volume based 
on the sash height and compares the real-time airflow with the set exhaust air volume.The actuator is controlled by the PID algorithm to adjust the valve opening, so that the real-time air volume is close to the set exhaust air volume until it remains stable.
 

 

 

 

  Mode 3: VAV controller + Fast actuator + Face velocity sensor + Passive infrared occupancy sensor  
  1. Products used:Face velocity sensor, Passive infrared occupancy sensor, Operation panel,VAV controller, Fast actuator, VAV valve​​​​​​​
2. Working Process:
The feedback signal of the face velocity is input to the PID control loop of the controller, so that the face velocity in the operation area of the fume cupboard is stabilized at 0.5m/s or other set values.The W Sensor , developed by Orange Link, can operate in the range of 10~30℃ and quickly compensate for face velocity at different temperatures via internal algorithms, making face velocity measurement more accurate.
